21 – 24 October nine teachers from Italy, Norway, Czech Republic and Slovakia came together to Birzai, Lithuania to discuss the future collaboration implementing Comenius project “European schools and the Malaise of the Young Generation”. The key idea of the meeting was to discuss the relations between students and their families, based on the questionnaire given to students and parents in September „Drug and alkohol abuse among students“, which was cared out in all the participating countries. Dalia Kezeliene, a senior specialist from local educational board in Birzai gave a short survey of the situation in the town and some ideas how schools should work helping their students to lead a healthy way of life. The participating countries compared the results of the questionnaires and tried to draw a plan for future mutual work solving the pointed out problems. Four students from Czech Republic and one from Slovakia, who are also participating in the project, were hosted by the families in Birzai and had a different agenda getting acquainted with local community and the school. |
